So basically I'm getting this screen whenever I try to boot into the unibeast install on my usb

System Specs:

Intel 4790k
GTX 780 ti w/ ACX
32 gb corsair lp ram
[h=1]Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H Mobo[/h]
I attempted numerous common solutions like trying to boot into safe mode (-x -v -s) etc.

Could anyone please help me?

Can anyone on here not help me? I've read through many forums and threads on this site (and many others) and still haven't found a solution. I would appreciate some guidance here.

Please, if anyone has even a remote idea of what the heck is going on, I would really like to know.

If I am on the wrong forum or thread, please inform me so I can get the help I desperately need right now.

That's a deadbeef error - Use Search for more info.

Boot with -v -x maxmem=4096

Post a good quality picture of the screen when it stops

Good Luck

Please put your specs into your profile - It will help others to help you and it's a requirement of the Rules.

See this thread, it suggests that you may have to boot with npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096

Several people have reported success by removing all but one stick of RAM for the duration of the installation, although maxmem=4096 should negate that requirement.

Try npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096
or
-x -v npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096

Good Luck

I genuinely appreciate the help P1grim. I've done what you asked and now I can get past the apple logo screen without that dead beef error. However, after I do that, the screen turns black and my monitor goes to sleep. I suspected this might've been a GPU problem (unoptimized Kepler 780 ti drivers for stock 10.9.4) so I tried npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096 Graphicsenabler=no but the screen still goes to black.. Any ideas?

Firstly, boot flags are case sensitive - Graphicsenabler=no is wrong
GraphicsEnabler=No is right

If you are installing from your discrete graphics card, disable your integrated graphics in your BIOS
or
Connect to your onboard graphics and disregard your discrete graphics until after the OS installation.

Good Luck

Alright, so I first tried to boot just with integrated graphics (unplugging the display port port and using hdmi from the motherboard) and also enabling integrated graphics before all of this. But it seems that I can't use my integrated graphics, because the monitor is simply not detecting any display signal from the computer. So I'm stuck with using the discrete graphics card method. However, even after using npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096 GraphicsEnabler=No the screen still turns to black after the apple logo.. Confusing right?

Add -v to your boot flags so you can see what is happening and you may need -x for safe mode too.

-v -x npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096 GraphicsEnabler=No
or
-v -x npci=0x2000 maxmem=4096 GraphicsEnabler=Yes

Good Luck

I'm not here to tell you that my problem was the same problem you're having, but to have any kind of success, I had to disable Turbo Boost with the 4790k. I was later able to turn it on after some other changes. My advice to you is to get this thing as plain vanilla as you can then work back toward features.

You also might want to do searches for Z97X, GA-Z97X-UD5H, UD5H, and 4790k.....and bookmark anything and everything. Because what ended up happening was I took bits and pieces from everyone to complete my puzzle.
