Hi all.
I'm new to hackintosh. I'm having problem with installing os x 10.10 on my Lenovo Y50. I followed every step in the 10.10 Installation guide. When I select USB from the Chimera boot screen, the screen turn black for a while then it said "Error encountered while starting up computer. Pausing 5 second" then the computer restart to Windows. I've tried -x, -v and npci=0x2000 but the results are all the same. Is there any way to fix this error?
Many thanks.

Does your laptop have only nvidia? Most laptops with Haswell require patching the kernel. I have not published the details for Chimera/Chameleon yet (maybe later this weekend), although my patch is implemented in Clover.

No it also has Intel hd4600. So i should try Clover instead of chimera right?

Your profile is inaccurate. Please update your profile to reflect.

Unless you know how to read the C++ code in Clover related to kernel patching and apply that to your own kernel, using Clover is your only option.

So I tried Clover and I still can't install it. When I select the drive from clover boot screen an black screen with an apple and a white bar below it (like when restoring an iPhone) appeared. The white bar ran to around 1/3 then the computer restart to windows. Other modes don't work either.

What is in your config.plist?
