Hi,

Seeing if anyone has a fix for the no audio in Yosemite?

Thanks,

Asmith1234

This might seem like a silly question, but have you actually got no audio?

I have this mobo and thought I had no audio, my usual way of testing was just pressing volume up and getting the irritating pop sound, on doing this in yosemite it doesn't make the pop sound but it plays other system noises and iTunes audio just fine...

No audio for me either and I've been doing this for a while. Using Multibeast 7 the ALC889 drivers don't work for me and there is no available device in the system prefs sound output tab.

That being said, I do have a patched AppleHDA.kext file that works just fine though. :D

i'm having this problem (among others). same motherboard. only boots when i use -f.

had to delete usb3 and 3rdpartySATA kexts, making all drives external to get it to boot with just -f.

was having more problems until i found the rollback for gigabyte 6 boards.

ended up rolling back to mavericks. :(

Hey,

I have no audio as in no audio controls and the OS thinking I don't have an audio controller... I partitioned my SSD for Yosemite Install just to try before committing so no rolling back needed but I would like to sort this out.

Patched AppleHDA file? how is it patched? Can you upload it or give us a link?

Thanks fellow CustoMac'Rs

Oh man, you are a life-saver. I've always used the volume adjust pops as an indicator for when audio is working or not. I was about to start tinkering with the HDA audio fix stuff but your post saved me, thanks.

Sent you a PM, did you get it?

Yes, thank you. How do I install it?
