HI All
Z87n-wifi i7 4770
16gb 1600mhz corsair ram

was able to install Mavericks ok however I only got as far as Multibeast
I have the same issue atm where the screen freezes at apple logo?
I have disabled VT-d in Bios
the system freezes after installation / multibeast / reboot?
In -v (verbose) mode it stops where it tells me my CPU model is unknown 8x3c
and my Bluetooth is connected to transport successfully

to allow me to reboot in to operating system I need bot options -v -x PCIRootUID=1
I have also disabled, Intel Vitalization Tech/ boot mode to Lagacy, XCHI to Auto from Smart Auto
have spent hours trying every combination and now at a loss?

what else could I be doing wrong?
hope some one can help
cheers

Hi All
sorted! every thing up and running with no probs (as yet)
turns out all I had to do was plug it in to my monitor via HDMI, for some reason the picture from the DVI was unreadable?
I also used the following settings in my UEFI Bios,
-Boot Mode to Legacy only
-Other PCI device Rom Pri to Legacy OpRom
-PCh Lan COntroller Disabled
-Serial Port A disabled
and
-PCIe COnfig to Gen1
Im not sure if I had to do this but I finally got my hackintosh to run after many late nights and hours,
and now too scared to stuff with it now lol
Now I gotta work out the best way to dual boot for Win7
(does any one know if boot camp works with a hackintosh?)
Cheers to every one on this site!
Hope you all had a great Xmas
all the best

Guys - I purchased a working GA-Z87N-Wifi system (it all worked, sleep, 4600 graphics, etc). Unfortunately, I roached the drive!

Now - I simply cannot get Mavericks installed to that original state.

I can get Mavericks installed and booted (without -x) if I deleted all the graphics kext's. I can't seem to get sleep to work (other than it stops).

My graphics environment could be the stock Intel HD4600 or an nvidia 750.

Have spend hours and hours and hours :banghead:- ugh, ideas?

This was simply too easy - d'oh.

The solution for me was to use HDMI for video (DVI just kept me hanging) - the only reason that I hadn't was because the original port was obstructed by the motherboard name plate (the previous owner installed incorrectly).

Once I plugged into the top HDMI, I started up the install process again and wow.... There was something odd (after the splash, a fuzzy snowstorm, and then... install).

Easy Beast, ALC892 audio, intel ethernet (BIOS set as others have noted), USB 3.0 fix - that's it!
