Yosemite Post Installation on Asus X455H

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum so let me congratulate all of you for the help you give us. (in particular RehabMan for its works)

My problem is this, and I hope someone can help me because I really care to install it on my laptop (it's my dream since I bought this laptop) :
I state that I am a beginner and my skills are limited.
So, I followed the first guide written by vbo because I thought that having the same hardware I would not have found problems (i3-4010U and HD4400).

The guide is this: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/146758-guide-dell-xps-13-9333-a.html
(So i use Clover)

Got to the point where you have to extract ACPI from Linux, I installed a live distro of Linux, and I extracted the folder "Table" as described, then I copied the files (Various SSDT, dsdt, etc.) inside the native folder of Linux, located in the git vbo. When I gave the command "make" to compile my files, the terminal gave me an error (I think syntax) and so I could not patch my files. If i try with the original files in the folder Linux_Native (if that is called) in the Dell-XPS13-9333-DSDT-Patch folder, the process could patch perfectly, but after copying the patched files in the / Clover / ACPI / Patched (if I remember correctly the way),it does not boot OSX, while if you just let the SSDT.aml file (created with PikerAlpha's ssdtPRGen script) OSX started perfectly, but the battery icon marked 0%.
What am I doing wrong? I do not understand anything anymore

I'm very sorry for my bad inglish , and thank you very much for every reply :D, because i know that this laptop is not totally compatible.

for battery work well, you should do following:

1. SSDT from PikerAlpha's ssdtPRGen script
2. Patch DSDT with Rehabman's laptop patch
1) download MaciASL at
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-MaciASL-patchmatic
2) add source in MaciASL: http://raw.github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/master
3) apply pm patch according your laptop's type. for example on my laptop:Lenovo T440p

3. install Rehabman's ACPIBatteryManager.kext at https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-AC...g/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-battery-driver/downloads

On the other hand, I prefer patch DSDT/SSDT by myself. Don't just copy&paste from others. Even same type laptop, the hardwares are different sometimes.

How can i find a similar dsdt patch ? My laptop isn't there (in the folder of the laptop i mean)..so i have to patch my dsdt by myself? And why in the guide that i followed i have to patch also ssdt native files?
Thank you

Did you try one of the two existing patches for ASUS?

If you look at the comments in "ASUS N55SL", you'll see that it works with numerous ASUS laptops. Maybe yours too.

i've not tried yet. But this is my question: wich files must be in CLOVER/ACPI/PATCHED folder?
one 'ssdt' and 'dsdt' only? Because when i patched native acpi , it generated ssdt-1 and ssdt-2.
So i have to patch only my DSDT with a laptop patch with MaciASL and put it together with the SSDT in the Clover's ACPI Folder?

Thank you and sorry again for my bad inglish

It depends. Sometimes (common with Haswell), it is useful to patch one or more of the OEM SSDTs as well as DSDT, in which case the patched files go in ACPI/patched along with DSDT.

ok thank you so much. I'll try with one of the patch for Asus Laptop

ok, i patched my DSDT with one of the laptop patch (Asus N55SL) but when i compile it, it show up with 11 error (syntax) .... how can i do now?

Post your native DSDT here.
