Hey everyone,

I'm very new to hackintosh and I've recently installed 10.8.2 Mountain Lion on my self-made computer. It was originally a PC but I did a disk wipe and got rid of Windows. After I installed ML, I realized that my graphics were only at 1400x1050. I know the resolution could be higher so I'm asking if someone can please help me get it to 1920x1080 or greater.

I installed ML with UniBeast and I put my Multibeast configuration below.

Please help! I'm sorry if I'm asking really newbie questions!

-Motherboard: ASUS P6X58D-E (BIOS is up to date)
-Processor: Intel i7-960
-Graphics: ATI XFX 5770 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462) (Currently not working well)
-Hard Drive: 1 TB SATA HDD? (no idea lol)
-6GB of RAM

Please someone try to help, I'm completely clueless!

ioreg | grep ATY in Terminal= ?

Thanks for responding!

My GraphicEnabler is on Yes

Sorry, but I don't know what grep ATY in Terminal is exactly. I assumed you wanted a copy of my IOReg, so I posted that below.

bump! someone help please? :(

Why did you thick all Audio-kexts in Multibeast?!

This is my org.chameleon.Boot.plist with my Sapphire HD5770 1GB (2xDVI and 2 HDMI). Not AtiConfig this one you could alter accoding to your card if Vervet-personality doesn't work. Also set screen-resolution to 1920x1200

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>AtiConfig</key>
	<string>Vervet</string>
	<key>DSDT</key>
	<string>/Extra/DSDT.aml</string>
	<key>DropSSDT</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GenerateCStates</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
	<string>1920x1200x32</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Kernel</key>
	<string>mach_kernel</string>
	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
	<string>-v</string>
	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>SMBIOS</key>
	<string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string>
	<key>SystemType</key>
	<string>1</string>
	<key>Theme</key>
	<string>Choose_Your_OS(black)</string>
	<key>Timeout</key>
	<string>1</string>
	<key>UseKernelCache</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

as you can see I have entries for my DSDT, SSDT and smbios.plist.

Thanks so much for the reply!

I decided to try the same .boot as the one you posted above. The graphics did improve to 1600x1200.

I have to boot OS X in Safe Mood and I think that may be affecting my graphics so I'll get back to you after someone helps me with that.

No, i meant the short cmd in terminal and you can see as in your complete IOREG
that no ATY driver is loaded only a framebuffer.

Try to insert AtiConfig=Velvet in your boot.plist

but this is the default and should be loaded by Chameleon and the
appropriate DeviceID of your Graphic card.
