I think it's more about keeping up with the times with me. I FINALLY got SL working amazingly on my new system that I originally had no intention to turn into a hackintosh. Luckily every piece of hardware I had was compatible except my wifi card. I'm worried about upgrading, I don't want to ruin a good thing. So I will be setting up a new drive and imaging it, then trying the upgrade. Definitely the safest move.
 
I just do it for kicks, I have a lot of spare time. At my mech engineering job they give you so many days off, so I just tinker with OSes. Also I'm tired of Snowy leo, it is too much like regular leo, so it's good to try something new. I also am experienced and try to help people, it boosts my self esteem when I do something to help other people.
 
Getting my system as close to the mixing computers at uni would make things easier. There are enough issues moving Pro Tools projects around as it is.
