Hey Guys,

I've got an Acer Aspire 7741g 17" laptop

Spec:

Intel® Core™ i5-460M Dual Core Processor
17.3" HD+ Screen
8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD
1GB DDR HD5650 ATI Graphics

I could easily fit an Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Dual Core Processor (I have it sitting here).

Firstly, What software do I need? I'm looking to install the most up-to-date mac os that I can get, but I'm unsure if Mountain Lion will work....

Do I need to use iboot, iboot+legacy or boot+multibeast?

If I partition my current hard drive 2 x 500MB can I use mac os and windows 7 dual booting or will I need to reinstall windows 7 after mac?

I'm sorry if these have been asked before but I have searched and googled and just cannot find a straight forward answer....

Apology accepted .... Do make note that you have posted your request for assiatance in the Known as - Forum →Installation →Snow Leopard Desktop Support →

AND THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN Posted to the Forum →Installation →Snow Leopard LAPTOP Support → we have two different forums for a reason.

Do follow GB suggestions but re-post this the the correct forum as that way our many "Talented and Dedicated Support Specialist" can support you better -meaning those that have laptops and have felt your pain can suggest a solution.

Do make note that in the Download section their are some "specific" utilities for Laptops - FYI.
