So, about 6 months later, I finally finished this build. If anyone is curious about the hardware I used, it's all listed in this post.
I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Test fit of all the various parts:

Painter's tape removed. Looking damn good for a 12 year old case.
Rear view:
So my only issue is this: I bought these nice tiny USB speakers to have built in sound that is decent but doesn't clutter the desk. They sound fine, and plug in nicely to an internal USB header. But how to hold them in place? Right now I have them strapped in to the second 140mm fan hole with velcro cable ties. Looking for a better and more permanent solution. Maybe I could have someone 3D print a shelf or box for them? Open to ideas.
