updating to sierra from mavericks 10.9.0

Im trying to update from mavericks 10.9.0 to the current sierra. I have an Intel core I7 3770k processor and a Gigabyte z97 ud5h motherboard. Heres a link to the motherboard on Gigabyte's website. http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-Z97X-UD5H-rev-10#ov. Im just trying to find the easiest and least risky way to update. I dont recall using clover when i installed, but i did unibeat and multibeast. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
