If you look at the image, you can see a key with the HTML brackets (< >). My laptop does not recognize this key. It's not that it gives the wrong output but more like nothing happens if I click it. It's kind of an important key to me as I often write HTML.

I've tried Ukelele to change my key-mapping but even if I pick the correct layout here, it won't recognize the key, no matter what.

Does anybody know how I can get OSX to recognize this key?

I noticed this when using a windows keyboard on a Mac. Not really sure how to fix it though. I just got an Apple keyboard.

goto sytem preferences > keyboard
check show keyboard in menu ( you should see appear an icon in the menu now)
click on it > keyboard overview
now you have a keyboard pop up, where you can look all possibilities and combinations
( unfortunately it is not integrated anymore in system prefs, as before)

I have discovered where the missing keys have moved to all ready. I was actually wondering how I can enable this key so it's like my external keyboard, where this key is detected on.
