Hello, since 3 days I have the following setup running Mountain Lion ...

- Intel i7-2600k Unlocked CPU
- Gigabyte LGA 1155, GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboard revision 1.3 with U1h bios.
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 TI 1GB Graphic card
- Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3 Ram - 16GB
- Corsair Carbide 500R
- Corsair H60 Water Cooling Unit
- Corsair 120Go Force3 SATA 3 SSD
- Corsair HX650W ATX power supply

It seems really stable and my computer goes to sleep when I ask for it to and wakes up without any problem. But it doesn't go to sleep by itself, even I have it set to do so in the Energy Saver settings panel.

Is there a way to repair this? (Without using PleaseSleep if possible)

Many thanks for your time and help.

I have the same problem and I use PleaseSleep. Problem solved.

Yes but I rather use a solution without 3rd party software if possible. Any ideas?

Not really. Try checking Console and look at your logs.

You can also copy and paste this in Terminal:

pmset -g assertions

That will tell you if there are any conditions keeping the hack awake.

If PreventSystemSleep and/or PreventUserIdleSystemSleep returns a 1 then the command should display the reason. They should return a 0. EnableIdleSleep should return a 1.

This is what I got:
