I am chomping at the bit to put my new system together...

I've been watching newegg today. Theystarted with 3 sandybridge mobo's and now there are 5 (maybe more by now) The only disappointing thing is there are no Gigabyte boards yet...

Has anyone had any luck with biostar or msi? I've used both for windows builds, but this will be my first hackintosh build..

I don't feel like waiting. :beachball:

I'm going to Boot between Windows7/OSX/ESXi 4.1 on this new build. So I'd like to get started ASAP. Going to use a 2500k, 16GB Ram (Need it for virtual machines), the maximum amount of HD's the board will take and a nice 3 or 4U server style case..

Also, I really like the AMD Radeon 5770 video card. Has anyone here had any luck getting it to play nice with their hackintosh? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161338 I'll be using 2-23" monitors while in Windows 7 and hope that they will both work in OSX.

Thanks

I'm also planning to build a new PC with a i5, since the Macbook Pro's are out now and using Sandy bridge, it should be very easy to install Snow Leopard and the HD3000 graphics should be working directly, isn't it?

In theory once Apple releases the version of OS X that supports the new MacBook Pro's

Yes, the 5770 works perfectly. You could even move up to the 5870. For either you may need the ati experimental boot loader through multibeast. I suggest going with XFX though, I can attest to their compatibility.

Waiting for gigabyte to put out some other boards before I Pull the trigger.

What kind? Which feature are you missing on the actual one?
