I have a Auria EQ276W 2560x1440 LED IPS monitor I bought from Microcenter as well. From what I can see of the*Nixeus NX-VUE27 above, it looks to be the exact same product as the Auria EQ276W from Microcenter. The only difference is the brand name on the front, model number and shape of the base of the stand. The Microcenter Auria EQ276W is available now though and for $50 less at ~$399.99 USD. Also I believe Microcenter will ship this one so no need to have a store near you. They also have a 30 day no hassle money back guarantee.

You can see better pictures of it here:

And here:

And yes it's an excellent monitor that looks amazing with a 1 year warranty.

I'll tell you why its so cheap. In the next 5-10 years, we are going to start seeing resolutions in the 4000x3000 - 5000x4000 range and higher. Ultra high resolutions will be the norm. Even the 2012 Olympics is already being recorded at higher than 1080 res. This is just the beginning of affordable, what we consider high resolution "now" is going to be low end in a few years. :)

Everything is being recorded at a higher res these days... usually 4k is the standard and i cant wait till that is the norm!

The reason for the separate power supply could be because there is a lot of inertia to implementing the HDBaseT standard throughout the industry. This includes Power, HD Video, Audio, Ethernet and Controls all with one RJ45 cable. The separate power supply could be an interim step in the process. Here is a link to a video on the technology we did recently:

It would indeed appear to be very similar, but keep in mind that the Nixeus comes with a hight-adjustable stand that also allows you to pivot the display. To me that's worth the extra $50...

oh man i really want this screen for my setup, but I'm located in the netherlands...
anyone can help me with buying the screen and sending this to the netherlands? the screen is really not sold in europe :( :(

Indeed, the only difference seems to be the stand and the immediate availability of the Auria EQ276W vs. the pending availability of the Nixeus NX-VUE27,…along with the slight price difference.

The Auria EQ276W stand will swivel but has no height adjustments. I’m not sure if the price difference is ~$50 or ~$30 now. Still if I didn’t like the stand I would buy a single, dual or triple monitor stand. Therefore the price difference isn’t worth it to me as I typically expect not to be impressed with the built in stand.

Decent height adjustable stands start at under ~$30 off of Amazon or the like.

BTW, you can see the back of both models here:

The first link is the Auria EQ276W and the second is the Nixeus NX-VUE27. You can tell that they are essentially the same save for the stand. However, it is unclear to me if the height adjustable stand of the Nixeus NX-VUE27 will allow you to tilt the display much without hitting the length of the stand (if adjusted lower). So the range of movement may be limited.

Well, it's $50 on Amazon, $30 from that other strange place.

If you can find a third party stand to mount three 27-inch displays for under $30, I'll be impressed ;)

The fact is that the stand on the Nixeus is mounted on the VESA mount and technically you should have more than ample space to tilt the display, as it'll be mounted away from the stand due to the pivot mechanism needing a fair bit of space.

Anyhow, not everyone wants the stand so...
