System runs louder after upgrade

After upgrading to ML, I've been using it for about 10 days and I notice it's running significantly louder than on Lion. I am using the same DSDT, and there has been no changes in my hardware - just a RAM upgrade. The DSDT was created using the DSDT Auto Patcher tool, which is no longer available. I dont think the RAM affects the DSDT.

When I boot into Windows 7, it's much quieter. The only difference is that I change from RAID to AHCI in my BIOS everytime I switch the OS. Where should I start looking - is it something to do with the IntelCPUPowerManagement.kext? Or another kext which impacts the AHCI?

read this carefully, maybe this is your issue, don't know! but you can give a try, it sounds like some Power Management issues. And don't interchange (SSDT) with (DSDT) it's not the same. only as tip.

MultiBeast only has the SSDT options for Sandry Bridge CPUs (i5, i7 etc). I dont have a Sandy Bridge - its a Core 2 Quad (Kentsfield) processor.
