Comments:
Most everything seems to be up and running great. I have it overclocked at 4.2GHz and stable. One issue I do have though is using my M-Audio Firewire 410 Audio Interface. It performs just as well as it always has but refuses to come back on after sleep. I assume I will probably have to pop in a firewire card with the TI chipset as opposed to the VIA which is on the board. Any suggestions?

For the time being I'm sticking with the HD3000 graphics. I have a dual monitor setup with my 24" Asus and a 26" Sony Bravia and no problems. I am not a gamer at all so I can't justify the cost for a good graphics card but if anyone has some good suggestions for one around $50 - $75 that works OOB I may upgrade.

This is my second build. The first being an HP DV8 laptop running Snow Leopard which is rock solid.

I was originally planning on waiting a while for my next hackintosh but was able to pick up this mobo/cpu combo at microcenter for $269 on Black Friday and just could'nt pass it up.
Also got a good deal at Newegg on the G.Skill Sniper on Black Friday - $29.99 for 8GB(2 x 4GB) so I just had to pick up 2.

Cheers

good post, and thanks again for your help with my dual monitor challenge. I'm sorry I can't be much help with your current questions I am thinking about a new build already and it will look a lot like yours.

I just bought the z68x-ud3h-b3 LGA 1155 motherboard (which is same as yours). I was wondering if you had any problems about the bios version f10 ? i havnt started the install yet but just came across one thread that said this motherboards f10 bios's dsdt file is not available...

The F10 DSDT file will be available shortly.

So do you suggest to wait till the F10 or go ahead with F9.

If you BIOS is F10, wait. If it's F9, press on.

Yup. You need a firewire card. I'm using a Syba firewire card $26 with my MOTU828mk2. This will solve the unknown GUID, and dead firewire after sleep.
See my thread here, including link to Amazon for the Firewire TI card: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=39503&hilit=firewire&start=10

Yeah I saw your post there. I was hoping there might be a fix without putting in the extra card but I guess I will probably go with your solution. Thanks for the info.

fxe74, see my Z68 build description. My FW does not have the wake up problem. Make sure you're using the latest Lion MultiBeast v4.1. Matter of fact, please take a snapshot of you MultiBeast configuration and /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist file and attach them to a post or PM me with them. You must have missed something trival, and, maybe, I can find it.
