Hey Everybody.

just want to share that build.

i upgraded from a ASUS P5Q with the following Thread:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/61523-success-asus-p5q-mountain-lion.html

So here are the Details:
Intel Core i7-3770K 4x3.5GHz 8MB-L3 Turbo/HT/IntelHD Sock1155 (IvyBridge) BOX (Running on 3,7Ghz in BIOS set)
Mainboard S1155 GIGABYTE H77-DS3H
RAM DDR3/1333 4GB CORSAIR CL9 Kit
Gainward Geforce GTX 550 Ti

flaws at the moment:
obviously the Graphics card that isn't very compatible to Mountain Lion

I'm running 10.8.3 with the following options:
using the kext and guide from GTX 550 Ti Sleep / wake / freeze thread #945 and #1006 (if i remember right: site 94 and 99)
installed Atheros Lan from 5.2.1 Multibeast,
UserDSDT r DSDT-Free Installation,
3rd Party Trim enabler,
ALC887/888b (without DSDT),
Generate CPU States,
Use KernelCache,
1080p Display.

so far i get a Geekbench score of 13603:
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1844961

The System now is around 6 Times faster, i don't remember the correct score of the old System.
Besides the Graphics card i probably will update my RAM to 1600 aswell.

Still looking for a good mid range Card for 140-200 bucks.
aiming for a HD7850 with 10.8.3 since i don't mind messing around with kexts and guides.

If you got any questions feel free to ask.
have a good one.

I also have the GTX 550 Ti and had the fix for 10.8.2 working fine, however 10.8.3 updated its graphics drivers for Fermi based cards - which fixed my GT 430 but not the 550! Can you confirm you have OpenCL enabled (normally requires patching/enabling) and could you link me to the actual posts you got the kexts from? I say this as I tried the other day and it just didn't go well :(
