Hi guys,
I wrote my problem in another post but I've just read this now and maybe you can help me.

I've done a fresh installation with 10.7.2 and unibeast + multibeast 4.2.1
I have ATI hd5450.

The video is working OOB in dual monitor (all ports works) but in the osx system it is recognized as Radeon 5000 series and if i play Chess it crash and other transiction effects
are slow.

I've put the ID of the card in the ati5000 and 3000 kext but still no graphic acceleration enabled.


When I load the system It tell me

Ati ports: ...
Ati framebuffer:
loading default

I think the problem is there..how I can set my Ati ports correct ?

and also,
in verbose mode it reports me that com.apple. Ati5000controller kext is currently unavaiable

where I do mistake ?

the problem with you is how to enable frame buffer but your card is working for any program that doesn't need native graphics support.

the best way to make frame buffer working is making Graphics Enabler >>> yes
and install the latest chimera 1.7 because this card is still receiving some updates in frame buffer section.

2-How to install ATi 5450 HD :[Native]

Add your Device ID to ATi5000controller.kext and ATiReadeonx3000.kext
(GO to System/Library/Extensions then find one of the above Kexts and show package contents then Contents then add you dev id to info.plist under <key>IOPCIMatch</key> mine is 0x68F91002 then save the edited kext).
Change GraphicsEnabler to Yes.
Delete all ati config and injectors if found.
Don't use patched DSDT.
Working in booth 32/64 bit and VGA.
BOOOM fully recognized ati 5450 512mb and working frame buffer (working dvd player & powerpoint )

I've done all that you told me,
the only thing that I do different is that I install the userDSDT with multibeast

Tonight I will do a fresh installation and after the first boot I will install only Chimera 1.7 and will try.

Or do you know another method to remove the userDsdt ?


ps: my card id is the same of your..this is why I can't believe that it doesn't work grrrr

where da f#ck i mess up something?I can't believe..

you must boot normally without verbose, if you get kernel panic in normal boot you have to reinstall audio driver or find compatible one with your card (HDMI)

I boot always without problem in normal mode! all works good but the card is always 5000 series and not hd 5450.

I've installed chimera 1.7 either in a clean and fresh installation of lion but is still r1394 instead of r1710

I don't understand...damn..

Hi everybody,

I'm sorry to bother but I'm trying to get my HD5450 recognized in Lion (10.7.2) and don't manage it. Here's what I tried :
-Add my Device ID 0x68F91002 to ATi5000controller.kext and ATiReadeonx3000.kext.
-No ATI flag or Injectors (doesn't even work with the injector...)
-Graphics Enabler = Yes
-I use non-patched DSDT and Chimera 1.7

My video card isn't even recognized as 5450 or 5000 series.

Any idea?

PS : PCIRootUID=0 / 1 don't help

Could it be an imcompatibility problem with HD 3000? and DSDT?
