Comments:

Built this as a gaming rig with windows installed on one HD and mac osx installed on the other one. The evo hyper 212 works great along with the case keeping temps at around 25 degrees celsius idle and it is surprisingly quiet. I would recommend ripjaws for ram though if you decide to use all 4 ram slots as the cosair ram is a tad too tall and it won't therefore fit with the evo 212 cpu cooler. It was a very easy installation i must say, and i highly recommend getting this board over a gigabyte board because of value for money and this board does everything i need for gaming, and it is especially good for OC. So don't be fooled into buying a cheap gigabyte board when you can get a quality asus one.

However for the EVO HYPER 212 cpu cooler you need to make sure that the minimum cpu fan speed is set to ignore otherwise it will keep coming up with that annoying error (fan works fine).

Sleep works perfectly and i used this guide for multibeast settings http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...ro-i5-3570k-intel-hd4000-mountain-lion-3.html [credit to him !]
Also i just followed the steps deleting NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, and installed the appleintelcpu patch using kextbeast. I didn't need to install any tweaks to get the hd4000 working as i was using the hdmi out port via my graphics card for display.

Also very importantly you need to go to boot options in multibeast and tick GraphicsEnabler=No otherwise you will just get a black screen on boot.

As for bios settings all i needed to change was the ram to 1600hmz. You do not need a custom bios i have updated to the latest version and it works perfectly.

I haven't tried connecting to the internet as i'm waiting for the wifi adapter
Also i need to spend some time getting HDMI sound to work via this guide http://legacy.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=162&t=31664

I will update this again once i have my wifi adapter installed and configured the hdmi sound correctly but all in all this is a very good build :)

Have you upgraded to 10.8.2, yet? If so, does OpenCL work with your GTX 570?

I am in the process of getting all my parts for my build. I'm going to be using a Asus P8Z77-M Pro. I see you didn't flash your bios. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't get correct power management then right?

nope power management is fine. It sleeps and wakes fine and all device work as well from waking from sleep

everything works fine im running on 10.8.2 as we speak i don't use OpenCl though
