X79X86PlatformPlugin.kext Just locked out my hard drives and I am now replying from a live Linux DVD
Sorry to hear that. Did you check this thread?

I have tried drop DSDT before, some say drop it others say not to as the SSDT script does not generate a full SSDT just the power management section
I'm not sure in what you meant here

Yeeesh - That was fun, not!

The link you provided I have read many of the posts but it was built around a cloned drive if i remember rightly which i can't do here as I don't have a true mac.

Regarding the SSDT dropping, I have tried both ways, neither work for me.

For now i am back on NCPM ... Need to retrace my steps and try again tomorrow, for now i need sleep.

Many thanks for your efforts :)

This may help

I've been trying to delve into problem where I don't think that my CPU management is correct and have been re-looking at my ssdt. I tried to update it and it quickly recognizes my CPU and saves it to the Extra folder. However, I notice that it cannot find the /dev/rdisk0s1 directory as pictured here.

Should I be concerned that it can't get into that partition? And what's the fix?

Hmmm, no response. So, no one has encountered this error while generating their ssdt?
