Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Having a hard time with my 1070. I keep running into Problem 6 (web driver deselected). I've run through the steps multiple times. I've also done a complete wipe / reinstall of everything and I still can't get it working. Any other suggestions?

Ditto here. Did the solution described in #6 and when I reboot and set -v -nvda_drv=1, the boot hangs at
"IOConsoleUsers:gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0"

At least it seems to be finally loading the driver... "NVDAGP100HAL loaded and registered", now I just need the darn thing to boot.

Nope, they are not beta drivers. They are full release drivers, abet, the first one. The suffix designation of the drivers are "f01." If they were beta drivers, then the suffix would be "b01."

So they are. Odd that Nvidia described them as beta drivers in their press release.

-nvda_drv=1 is not a valid boot flag and is not used in Sierra even if it was correct.

I just tried it again without the "-nvda_drv=1" boot flag.
The system successfully booted (after dwelling on the "IOConsoleUsers:gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0" line for a few seconds), but during boot there were no references to NVIDIA this time, and the switcher is back on "OS X Default Graphics Driver".

Do you have the NvidiaWeb/True system parameter in your config?

Perhaps you don't have NVRAM support. Follow the steps for Problem #6.

I performed all of the steps in #6. It seems like the problem is that I can't properly restart macOS to apply any changes. The only way I can boot is by using "Cancel Hibernate Wake" option in Clover. If I don't do that, it gets stuck on "IOConsoleUsers:gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0".

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with 200 series boards at all, so I'm not sure how to fix that.
