[Solved] Need I upgrade firmware p55m-ud2?

Hi,

I have a P55M-UD2 with F8 Bios

I have a look in DSDT database and I have seen for F9, F10, F11


Could I use any of these?
need I upgrade to a new Bios?
which bios is the best fot hackintosh?

Yes... With the matching BIOS.

Yes !

which bios is the best fot hackintosh?

Usually the latest, but on some mobos there were some USB issues with the last 2.
For your UD2, F11 should be OK.

I've noticed on your Signature that you've change your Mobo from UD2 to UD4...
Why is that? And did you do a fresh install after changing?

Why is that?

When 10.6.3 was released, it dropped support of 888b in the UD2...
As I was still in the 2 weeks period that I had the opportunity to exchange the board, I did it.

Later on, solutions for 888b were introduced.

And did you do a fresh install after changing?

Yes, back then I was just starting with Hackintosh, and did over 40 different installs...
Experimenting... It's the only way to learn I know

I have upgrade to F11 and I have the DSDT for it.

As far as I know all is fine.
