SMBIOS Broadwell

Thanks Rehabman, I was worried of unknown side effects.

Note that the ig-platform-id is crucial on Broadwell Core M, as it seems it affects base CPU frequency.
In my case (5Y10c/HD5300) injecting 0x16160002 works but base frequency is set at 1GHz and GPU memory in About this Mac is at 1536. While injecting 0x161E0000 gives me 0,8GHz, 1024Mo GPU and much smoother operations for now.

Also currently using
BiosVersion MB81.88Z.0164.B02.1503241252
Board-ID Mac-BE0E8AC46FE800CC
ProductName Macbook8,1

I omitted the Version and the Mobile entries and set the ChassisType as 0x09 (as per Clover wiki documentation, ie 0x09 and not 09)

Interesting... so I wonder where in the ig-platform data the base (GPU) frequency is stored?

Might be something to look into.

MacBookPro8,1 is Sandy Bridge. Not a good match for Broadwell.

I think it reads it from the memory chips themselves (SPD protocol): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_presence_detect

Fairly recent Clover sourceforge ticket seems to discourage use of Trust to false.

Sorry I should have added that these are frequencies as reported by Intel Gadget, System Profiler is seeing i5 and reports steadily 1GHz. Some Intel docs are talking about the relation, can't find the page number back.
I use MacBook8,1 (not Pro).

Have no idea I tried 0x161E0001, 0x161E0002, 0x16160000, 0x16160001, all crashes I also used 0x161E0009 (as in rev.9), crashes as well.
Worth mentioning HD5300 in 5Y10c is at 300MHz while in 5Y10a it is at 100MHz (don't know about a 5Y10b version).

was wondering if you'd be willing to Screenshot your SMbios in Clover configurator for me? (white out Board Serial Number and smUUID) i have an Asus UX305FA, which is very closely spec'd to the Macbook 8,1 but can't seem to find the info i need from google, or I'm just super impatient.

another good smbios for use with Broadwell is "MacBookPro11,1"

I also tried to "MacBookPro11,2" but it was not good.

MacBookPro11,1 is not Broadwell. It is Haswell.
