Hello all, is anybody else experiencing problems with very slow boot times on their build? I just updated from 10.6.8 to Mavericks and everything is working fine...except for the boot time. It takes more than a minute to boot ( at spinning ring) and when the login screen appears, it is very slow at reading my password? Boot time was great in SL...Any ideas?

Here's my build:
Core i5 3.09 GHz
Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2
GSkill 2 x 4GB DDR3 memory
EVGA 8400gs 1GB video card
Western Digital 500GB Sata II hard drive

I'm having a similar problem as well.
Since I upgraded to Mavericks I find that it stays on the Apple logo for about 1 1/2 mins. and then on a gray screen with the mouse for another min before finally going to my desktop (I have my Mac auto login so I'm not sure how it acts with manually logging in), but after that point everything runs great.

Didn't have this issues with Mountain Lion.

I have the Problem with my System.

In boot mode -v i get a message about an "SoundAssertion in AppleHDACodecGeneric". But Sound is working fine.
Only Bluetooth is not working.

My System:
Asus P8P67 Rev 3.0
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 TI - 2 monitors
8 GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 210 - 1 monitor
Sound over S/PDIF on Motherboard
