Slim slot-loading DVD / optical drive advice

Are there any compatability issues with optical drives? I'm going in on the Habey EMC-800 case, and while a regular slim optical drive should work (and there are some listed in the build forums), I haven't been able to find any info on slot-loading opticals.

Anyone have any experience / can recommend a straight up DVD slot-load optical drive that will work with 10.7? Preferably not too pricey, and definitely not blu-ray.

I really only want / need it for getting the OS installed. I can't think of the last time I actually used physical media.

if you don't need a dvd drive, why buy a slim slot loader? those are expensive. just stick a normal one on and power it outside the case, then unhook it when you are done building the system.

otehrwise, my guess is that most dvd roms are super standardized and any should work OK. i worried about getting the exact brand of a particular type and it ended up not mattering.
