@ the guys&gals with three monitors running:

Do you have Graphics Enabler = Yes or No? If Yes, what framebuffer do you use? And is DVD Player working?

Thanx!

I have no idea where to change the frame buffer settings.
DVD Works
Graphics Enabler is YES

My Screen shows up as connected but remains black.

The adapter that I'm using for the display port is here:

Hello,

I have stuck with 10.6.7 to keep triple monitors (DVI x 2, DP x 1) on my 5770 without using older graphics kexts, but it looks like you guys have the 6870 working with Lion with vanilla kexts...

I will upgrade my card to get to Lion, I just want to confirm the following:

1. Any 6870 with the reference format for the ports (DVI, DVI, HDMI, MDP x2) will work? Any one in particular that is the best?
2. Use one DVI, the HDMI, and one MDP port?
3. Need an ACTIVE mDP adapter?

This is my current setup, if you see any pitfalls with this on a 6870 in Lion let me know...

i highly recommend the sapphire flex 6870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102924

over my sapphire Vapor x 6870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102925

coz the flex have the ability to connect 3 monitors out of the box
without the use of active cables or adapters... vapor x needs active adapters to run 3 monitors which will cost u around 30$ each

Thank You. Has anyone actually tested the FLEX card with a hackintosh in Lion setup with Tony's iboot method etc? I have DP monitor, so that is not an issue...Being that is all about playing nice with the apple software...I can buy and test, but always nice to have someone tell you it will work.

Guys u need to include what resolutions u are working on. Mostly it works under 2560x1600. Going up to that reso is another thing.

@Macpharoah...

Thank You. Sorry if I missed the FLEX post, I though I had read the whole thread.

1. What is interesting is my 5770 ran three out of the box, but software disabled it in 10.6.8. Could this be a active adaptor issue, or unlikely as it worked prior?

2. I will see what I can get for 6870 as you suggest...

Just FYI: under 10.6.8 I had to set both, 32Bit and 64Bit Graphics Enabler = No to get 2 monitors working with the 6870. Because of a lot of AU plug-Ins that are not compatible with Lion yet I have to stick with SN for a while...

I will try to connect a 3rd these days and let you know how it went.
