Hello.
I need to buy a new Graphics Card because my HD 5670 is broken. So now I am searching for a new one and I have found these three Cards:

- Sapphire HD 5850 Xtreme (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102932&cm_re=hd_5850-_-14-102-932-_-Product)
- Sapphire HD 6860 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908&cm_re=sapphire_hd_6850-_-14-102-908-_-Product)
- Sapphire HD 6870 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102913&cm_re=sapphire_6870-_-14-102-913-_-Product)

So all of these Card are available in Austria and the HD 5850 Xtreme costs me 110€, the HD 6850 130€ and the HD 6870 around 165€. I know that the HD 5850 Xtreme would be the best choice but I have read in this forum that there are some problemes... So now which should I buy?

Thank you in advance. :)

Our Moderator group favors the Gigabyte 5770 "Batmobile". Amazon || Newegg It's reasonably priced and works well.

But, it depends upon what you're doing with your system. If you can afford a 6870, go for it. Unless you're a gamer or drive a zillion monitors, a 5770 or 5870 will be just fine. As you can see, I'm still using a 9800GT which drives a single 23" Apple Cinema Display at 1920x1200. I use my system for general purpose computing and recording my marvelous  guitar playing with GarageBand.

For Snow Leopard compatibility, check the Wiki Graphics card section. (The Wiki link is located in the Resourses pull down menu at the top, right portion of this page.)
