Guys here is the thing i have been fighting with this for more than a week, i re install allmost 20 times!

i have a new z77ud5h mother, with a i5 2500k 8 GB 1600 Patriot G2

I install Snow leopard 10.6.8, run multibeast, easybeast.
Everything is cool, excepto the graphics!

If i don´t add anything to boot.plist it doesen´t work.

After a lot of reading, i found that i have to add the AtiConfig, etc

if i add
AtiConfig=Pithecia
AtiPorts=3
GraphicsEnabler=Yes

and i reboot, i have the graphics FULLY funtional, and at system profile is shown correctly (HD Saphire 6670)

if i reboot again, it doesen´t but, it only boots with PCIRootUID=1, but graphics are not more properly recognized in system profile ( ATI NI40) and have de DVD player crash......

how can this happend??

i try running KextUtillty when graphics are shown correctly
y try errasing all the other kext of ATI and NVIDIA

i don´t know what else to do!

the thing is that i don´t know why the graphics works, but only for 1 boot!!

with iboot the graphics doesen´t work, i allways have to put PCIRootUID=1

some advice?!!!

thanks!

It would be better to install Lion and maybe your issues would disappear.:geek:
Or installing "PCI Root Fix" from MB repair the issue?

i need to get working Snow Leopard in this machine!
i will look for that PCI Root Fix...

but i want to know why my system works flawlessly but only for one boot!! :(

i read about PCIRoot Fix, but that is not a solution, for me, because with PCIRootUID=1 the machine boots, but my graphics does not work! :(

Did you add your configurations into the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file? That way you do not need to add your configs each time at boot. DVD is crashing because the Pithecia frame buffer is not loading. Your plist file should look like:

<key>AtiConfig</key>
<string>Pithecia</string>
<key>AtiPorts</key>
<string>3</string>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

that´s the odd thing, it works, but only for one boot!!
thats strangeeee

any solution???

anyway thanks for your advice!

SOLVEEEEEEEEED!!!!

after trying by instaling the kext modified by cheeta in this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/37431-problem-hd6670.html

my machine doesen´t start up.

i reboot with -x and re install with kext utility the original kext..
after that... ALL FUNCTION IN GREAT SHAPE!!

EDIT:
Two days later trying sleep function... all ****ed up.....
now with a GT430 works nicely!
