Re: SAMSUNG SERIES 7 SLATE/TABLET ::IN PROGRESS:: 10.7.2

Thanks eMatoS.

That was a very cool link. That just gave me a boost of confidence I needed to push this project along. I'll be posting my IOReg info shortly.

Super cool idea. Best of luck. Bookmarking this thread to check on your progress!

Re: SAMSUNG SERIES 7 SLATE/TABLET ::IN PROGRESS:: 10.7.2

Have you tried installing 10.7.0? I was able to boot the installer with the video working on the native screen, albeit with the wrong resolution (touch input was weird because of this). Unfortunately the install failed near the end, probably related to the external drive I was trying to install to. When I have more time I'll mess with it some more.

Here's another thread on the subject, although with a bit less info :p http://www.hackint0sh.org/f312/339278.htm

Look here.... http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downl ... T1A-A03US#

Its the Download center including the Chipset INF , Lan drivers and Manuals...

You can probably find out most everything that you need from the resources here.

It looks like a awesome project, I wish i had one to play with and get to work.

I am sure you will find the necessary drivers, you have half the battle which is obtaining the hardware. The Software installation/tweaking is the fun part of the challenge.

Re: SAMSUNG SERIES 7 SLATE/TABLET ::IN PROGRESS:: 10.7.2

just a thought, can you not download and install linux to an sd / mini sd card and run it like a live disk and extract dsdt that way?
I have personally installed ubuntu to an sd card and installed that way myself i'm just wondering if the live method could work via sd card and you can then get what you need without having to wipe it off and start fresh.

EDIT: YES YOU CAN!! i'm assuming here that it has some memory card slot or usb port and if so you CAN run the live cd version from a usb stick or sd card, extract dsdt via ubuntu, mail it to yourself and voila
