So one of the lingering issues with my recent build is that my ethernet connect seems to periodically fail after waking from sleep. I'm not sure if it happens every time or just after prolonged sleep. Maybe it's kind of random. I'm using the AppleIntelE1000e.kext 3.3.1.2 (from this site's downloads page) because that one seemed to work best for me. I've tried IntelMausiEthernet.kext but that one didn't work for me, I couldn't select Ethernet from a list of services in the Network control panel.
In my console log, after waking I would get the following message:
7/17/16 1:01:02.000 PM kernel[0]: full wake promotion (reason 1) 242 ms
7/17/16 1:01:02.000 PM kernel[0]: AppleIntelE1000e(Err): Hardware Error
7/17/16 1:01:05.000 PM kernel[0]: AppleIntelE1000e(Err): Hardware Error
My board (ASUS Maximus VIII Gene) is an Intel Z170 chipset and it uses the Intel I219-V gigabit LAN. I'm on 10.11.5 El Capitan. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution? Thanks.
