I could imagine it would be very interesting for all if there were a "recommendation list" for laptops that run OSX like this one for Netbooks:

I myself have a hard time to decide what laptop I should buy since I'd like to run OSX with it but am not willing and capable to pay Apple prices like I did in the past. However, after reading the OS X Netbook Compatibility Chart I bought Snow Leopard and purchased my Lenovo S10.
For the time being I tried to collect all information about the specifications for Macs and the lists of osx86 wiki but honestly, that's quite difficult and not very helpful since you have no guarantee your selected laptop will work with OSX.
What do you think about a project like the link above for laptops?
