Ola,

Can someone help me please with exact settings in Multibeast 4.1.0 for getting audio to work ?

I have a fresh working copy of Lion 10.7.2 on an ssd installed.
Booting in 64 bit (so it says in the boot screen and lion's system profile).

Motherboard : GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev 1.3, bios F10 with realtek 889.

It works great but no audio yet.

I have done a lot of googling for my sound issue but i find a lot of different stories.
I really , really want to make sure i check the right audio kexts, in multi beast 4.1.0 , cause i am afraid of a kernel panic at boot.

Thanx in advance !

Rob.

using a dsdt or easybeast?

I just built a system using the same MB, but stayed at BIOS version f9 (which came from the factory, althouhg I was ready to flash it) because I didn't see a DSDT.aml file for f10.

In multibeast, I installed the first 2 (of three options) in the audio section.

Hi there,

Thank you for your response.
That works indeed for me ! :D :D

So these are the settings for working onboard audio:

__[-]Kexts & Enablers
____[-]Audio
______[-]Realtek ALC8xx
________[*]ALX8xxHDA
________[*]AppleHDA Rollback

At first, i only had the first extension installed through multi beast.
After reboot, i could then see in Apple's system profile that the Realtek was seen.
But i could not choose it in the sound panel in the system preferences (there were no options for input and output device).

Then i installed the second extension through mulitbeast.
Rebooted and voila i could choose all the various inputs and outputs in the sound panel.

One thing i noticed:

When a sound is played (for example the sound of the trashcan being emptied, just before that sound, i can hear a little click sound.
Not very annoying but on a real mac i don't have that problem :p

Best,

Rob.

By the way mrdeeno:

My mono was already flashed to F10 when i bought it.
But Lion 10.7.2 just seems to work bloody fine with the F10 bios.
I used the F9 DSDT from the DSDT Database in Multibeast successfully, so it seems.

Cheers !

Rob.

Glad to hear f10 works.

I wanted to play it safe so was ready to flash to f9 regardless of which version I received, but received f9 anyway so saved myself a step.
