If you're like me, you love console games. An interesting wrinkle that occurs as you get older and have children, though, is that suddenly everyone wants to use the large television to play a game. Even if you have multiple consoles like my family (we have a PS4, PS3, and Wii U), you can only use one with your nice and shiny 52" plasma TV.
Nintendo came up with a solution of sorts with their giant Wii U controller, since you can use that to play some games without needing to use your television set itself. However, this really only helps if you want to play by yourself and the game is compatible. And what about your awesome, new PS4?
Enter the Playstation TV.
In addition to letting your stream and play compatible Playstation Vita, PSP, and PS One games and watch movies from the Playstation Store, you can also stream your PS4 games to the device and play your system remotely.
Not only can you use it on the same network within your own home, but you can also use it over the internet using your Playstation Network account. Because it's so tiny, you could actually bring it with you anywhere with a fast broadband internet connection and keep on playing away from home!
Whether you're looking to make it easier to share your entertainment center with your family, or if you just want to keep playing that 200-hour RPG in your bedroom when you tire of the living room (or your entire home), the Playstation TV is a winner to me.
