Partitioning 2 TB WD Black Caviar HD

I have a 2 TB WD Black Caviar HD, what do you recommend is the best size for each partition so I don't run into any current or future problems with size or performance? Thanks.

Hard to say without knowing what you want to put in each partition. If you only have one disk and you are only running Mac OS X, then it is reasonable to use just one partition.

Just running OS X nothing else. I just don't want to make the partition too big or too small. I would prefer for most programs to install their files on the 2nd partition.
