p7p55d using dsdt cannot sleep

Hey,

have just finished a build using a p7p55d (second pc), 8500gt, i5 750.

used the dsdt method from the dsdt database (thanks beelzebobo)
shutdown and restart work fine but sleep just restarts the system.

bios is set to achi, suspend mode to s3. bios is 2003, and the dsdt is for the same version.
any ideas?

Hi,

audio is working with a voodoo kext. ethernet with the lnx2mac kext.
apart from that everything works with the dsdt fine.
sleep, shutdown, restart etc.

I have the same setup as samisnake, Asus P7P55D with Lnx2Mac and Voodoo kexts. Sleep, shutdown and restart works fine. I'm using the DSDT from the database with the latest BIOS firmware.

However I just tried the every saving sleep, and it didn't work for me. I set both timers (screen and sleep) to 1min and waited. After 1 min the screen went black, but no sleep. All fans still on.

One more thing that is not working for me is that my internal hard drives shows up as external. Not that big of a problem, but if anyone with this motherboard has a fix for that I'm interested.

dont think so tbh. all three options were enabled in system pref's/energy saving menu, but all i noticed happening was that the screen would turn off automatically, but not sleep.

tbh its not a big problem for my gf who i made the system for, as long as forced sleep works thats all that matters.

to change them to regular icons, install IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector from multibeast.
jmicron3xsata will have the same effect.

you lose hotswap support, but who actually uses that anyway

I just installed IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector using MutiBeast and it works perfectly. Thanks!
