P-states / C-states question

Have an Intel Core i7 2600K with a Gigabyte ga-z68x-ud3h-b3


had the following question, do I need the following in my boot.plist?

<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>


? Any help advice would be helpful... thanks! Also, an explanation if you have one beyond just yes or no...

Not strictly needed, but either no change or saves energy, can be installed from MultiBeast/Customization/Boot Options
