"OS X Can't Start up from this disk"

If you're getting the error I'm thinking of... It is normal. Ignore it.

Otherwise, please clarify "same error".

The error says .OS X Can't Start up from this disk'..then when i select all disks then the same disk it says 'This disk cannot be used to start up this computer'.

Perhaps your disk is not partitioned GPT.

diskutil list shows that its has a GPT partitioning scheme

setting the correct GUID partition type seemed to work.my EFI had the wrong GUID, got help from here http://apple.stackexchange.com/ques...ge-the-gpt-partition-type-of-an-efi-partition.

Show 'diskutil list' output.

Best to not mess around with the EFI partition... It can cause problems like this.
