Optical drive not at all detected by 10.8.1 with JMicron36xATA.kext installed.

I've tried installing different variations of the JMicron36x kext, BlockStorageInjecter kext, and AHCI_3rdParty kext, yet my Lite-On DVD drive still isn't working at all in Mountain Lion 10.8.1. It will boot media such as my Ubuntu distro discs, but isn't merely displayed in System Information in OS X.

I'm extremely frustrated. Any suggestions, perhaps DSDT edits?

Thanks a ton for the suggestion, that and a bit of bios tweaking did the trick. I realized that when I flashed my bios I didn't change SATA back to AHCI. It's very important to do so I take it.
