It includes how to:
- Remove ATI_Init & Install the ATI Experimental Boot File to get 64 bit & GraphicsEnabler=Yes with your 5770 card
- Update to Lnx2Mac's ethernet kexts - allows sleep and 64 bit

Hi MacMan, thanks for the detailed guide.
Should do I enable XMP in bios?
Thanks a lot
Best regards.

XMP is good if you want to just hit a button and have all of your RAM settings auto populate in your BIOS. But I've been warned off it by people in overclocking forums saying that you get better to contact your manufaturers support site - get all the detailed timings - and set them yourself manually in your BIOS. It takes 10 mins to do and not that hard.

If you are doing a first install and want to get up and runnning - I'd use it. I'd then go and set manually rather than relying on it. Plenty of people use it without issues but I'd rather know that they were all set correct.

Hi notshy, thanks for your answer. i have two KHX1600C9D3T1K3/6GX kits. I search in the kingston website but not found more information about settings, just this:
"timing: 9-9-9-27 at 1.65v. The PSD are programmed to JEDEC standard latency". Any idea?
Thanks in advance

Do you already own them?

Can you please fill out this BIOS template and post your results in a code box and I'll take a look for you:

Just overwrite any of the settings there if you have different and don't worry about it - it's a template I got from another forum. Don't just use these settings !

Sorry if there is any confusion - please use that test to FILL IN WITH YOUR SETTINGS - do not copy those settings into your BIOS.

Use it as a template and then I can look at what your settings are.

Thanks notshy, i will take a pic from my bios configuration, so you can check all the parameters, do you thinks is ok in this way? or you prefer the information in other format?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think we are going a slightly off topic here. Can you please create a new thread in General Tuning or Installation Support and then PM me the thread address and I will answer there?

It will make it easier to find for people who have bought the same RAM as you to also find the information and it's best to keep this thread for people who have bought the CustoMac build.

:)
