[SOLVED] Nvidia problems on dell vostro 1520
Hi guys, I've a dell vostro 1520, intel core 2 duo, nvidia 9300m.
Before i was using ML from an update from SL, now I just did a fresh install of ML and updated to 10.8.2, everything worked fine expect the video card.
First it was stopping at boot without kp, just no load, then reading this post:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...-nvidia-geforce-9300m-gs-working-install.html
I've replaced just the NVDANV50Hal and it still didn't worked, then I've replaced the original Geforce and NVDAResman kexts with the old version i had an it started fine. I had everything working fine at native resolution except that after some minutes the screen was totally screwed and i was getting this error:
NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception! exception type = 0xd = GR: SW Notify Error
in dmesg, I've read around and deleting AGPM solved the problem. Now after deleting the kexts I don't get that problem fullscreen, but on each page on chrome with some flash contents i get what you see in the image attached.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Update:
found the solution, needed to add device id to latest 10.8.2 drivers.. No edits necessary
