As expected. It is not a real Ethernet driver and is not designed to connect you to the network. It is only used to satisfy the requirement of 'en0' for Mac App Store access. You need to have a working WiFi or other network (USB Ethernet, USB WiFi, etc) to connect to the internet.

Thanks RehabMan, i am now downloading mac os x yosemite from app store with the my wifi card, thank you so much for the nullethernet solution. hopefully my w311m wifi card will still work with yosemite
