I have a DELL Studio 1558 with below configurations. I installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 from the install DVD using iBoot disk. But I have no graphics and wireless. Ethernet and Sound works. Once I update to 10.6.8, it's not booting. Just hanging on the Apple screen for ever. If anyone could help me on what's going wrong, would really appreciate. My goal is to get Lion. But I don't see any way to do it unless I am able to boot with 10.6.8.

Intel Core i5-520M 2.40GHz (2.93Ghz Turbo Mode, 3M cache)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
500GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Disk Drive
Dell Wireless 1520 802.11n Half Mini Card

Attached 2 screenshots which I took. 1st: Tried to boot from HDD. 2nd: Tried to boot using iBoot disk.

Note: I did replaced IOPCIFamily.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext before restarting. But no luck.

Thanks!! Since I got stuck when I updated to 10.6.8. It was not booting from HDD, not even from iBoot disk. Hanging on the Apple Screen. So I had no way to download Lion. Then I downloaded Lion from App store from my friend's Mac and prepared the bootable Thumb drive.
I followed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E68QVFq4-c
But when booting from Thumbdrive I am getting this message from verbose mode:
1. BootCacheControl: unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
2. nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2
3. ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin:StartForReal - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement)) Timed out
4. DSMOS has arrived
After this it hangs for ever.. So sad..
Please help!!
