No sound with ALC889 in Yosemite

The same problem! I've installed Voodoo kext but the sound is very poor quality and low volume level. Any idea how to fix that?

Try this:
go to- setting--> sound--> Output--> select: Internal Speakers

May I recommend to use Multibeast 6.0.1 from the archive, worked for me on the 1st install for Yosemite

I second that I have a ga-58x-ud3r v 2.0 and I have to add that flag to my boot to get sound working.

I manually installed the driver ALC889 from MB package , now everything works!
