No sound GA-P55A-UD3 ..also how to remove voodoo prefane?

Just spent an eternity trying different sound kexts, none of them work.
Until I find a way, how to remove the voodoo prefane? It comes up with crazy errors when I click it anyway, I just want it gone.
If anyone with this Mobo (rev 1.0) did get bonafide sound working, give me a shout.

*quick update*
The voodoo 2.56 gives me headphones (green front) only, but the corrupst prefene is still there and I still have no rear green speaker line. AAAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!

Same motherboard, same problem here. Voodoo for me also is worse sounding (with 10.6.6 at least) than having no sound a all.

You can remove the PrefPane by deleting the file from ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ (~ is your home directory) or /Library/PreferencePanes/ (off the root of your boot drive). It should be in one of those locations but check both...

I ended up plugging in a $19 USB audio "card" which is instantly detected by Snow Leopard Vanilla without any additional drivers.
