Comments:

This is my 1st Hackintosh and my 3rd MAC System. I'm still pretty inexperienced with MAC so I'm always learning new things. I wanted a mid range Hackintosh to run MAC and Windows 8 for evaluation. I went for a Micro ATX setup and absolutely love the Fractal Design Define Mini Series Micro ATX Case, its a quality case and very silent.

I used the Unibeast method as I already had purchased Lion from the Mac Store for my departed MacBook Pro. I purchased a Snow Leopard and installed on a MacBook White then upgraded to Lion which I then downloaded from the app store to use for Unibeast Install.

USB 3.0 ports work at full speed.

Issues:-

1/ All went very well apart from no audio, thanks to this post:- viewtopic.php?f=16&t=27026 problem was solved.

2/ My Apple Magic Mouse was very stuttery and laggy, I moved Belkin Blutooth Adapter a lot closer to the mouse, now I have no more stutter or lag

3/ I then wanted to drive my monitor using the Display Port, the monitor would not sync past the Apple Logo. This took a lot of searching and found a solution here again. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=45769&hilit=Display+port+single+screen

I added this code to the org.chameleon.Boot.plist

Code:
   <key>AtiConfig</key>
	<string>Duckweed</string>
	<key>AtiPorts</key>
	<string>4</string>
	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
	<string>1920x1200x32</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
Ended up with org.chameleon.Boot.plist:-
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>AtiConfig</key>
	<string>Duckweed</string>
	<key>AtiPorts</key>
	<string>4</string>
	<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GenerateCStates</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>GeneratePStates</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
	<string>1920x1200x32</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Kernel</key>
	<string>mach_kernel</string>
	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
	<string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>
	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>Timeout</key>
	<string>2</string>
	<key>UseKernelCache</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

4/ I get random BSD problems at start-up, holding down the power button usually gets me back in OS. Has anyone got any ideas how to solve this?

5/ Lastly the OCZ Agility 3 does not seem to give lightening speed results using blackmagic disk test. Usually 135 MB/s Read and Write. I've connected both drives to the white SATA 3 ports on the MB. I'm guessing the Blackmagic Test is not showing a true reading?

I'm very happy with my 1st Hackingtosh build. Thank you tonymacx86.com.

Thanks for that, with AJA I'm getting :-

Write : 308.7MB/s
Read : 394.6MB/s

compared to my

Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB 6GB/S Internal SATA Drive

Write : 51.8MB/s
Read : 119.9MB/s

Thanks. :thumbup:
