Hello, here is the machine that I built last week.

Cooler Master Case - $39.99
OCZ 700w Power Supply - $59.99
Seagate 320GB Hard Drive - $37.65
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4P - $162.99
Intel Core i7-860 Processor - $279.99
4GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 RAM - $95.99
ASUS EN9800GT 512MB Video Card - $74.99

TOTAL $751.59

This does not include display or DVD drive - both of which I already had. Your prices may vary, I basically watched for deals over the past couple months and bought when the parts were on sale. Speed is the same as the high end iMac or low end Mac Pro.

I used Tony's CD Install Method, Tony's DSDT, Tony's guide to enable sleep, and Tony's guide to make it boot properly. Needless to say, the resources on this site are amazing. Thanks Tony!

Some other notes while it is fresh in my memory.

I am using the P55-UD4P DSDT from Tony's database - the P55A-UD4P does want boot. Gives me the "waiting for root device"

I am using the Voodoo extension for audio.

Also using the "device-properties" addition to the com.apple.Boot.plist. The system sees it as an 8800, but it is the most stable I have tested so far.

The 9800GT and the 8800GT is using the same Nvidia GPU and that could be why its listed as an 8800GT. Nvidia likes to rebrand its GPUs from time to time to fool their customers into thinking it's something new and better...
