I just tried the new Multibeast out after trying literally all weekened to get this thing setup stable to no avail. This release is 100% stable on my system now, however the USB Ports and my CD drive do not work. Is there anything I could do to fix that?

My specs are as follows:

Gigabyte X58A-UD5 (Freshly flashed to FD BIOS)
Intel core i7 @ 4.2Ghz
12GB OCZ Platinum DDR3 12800 1600MhZ RAM
Sapphire HD 5870 1GB
Crucial C300 128GB SSD (Partitioned one half for windows, the other half for OS X)

I used the DSDT after flashing my BIOS just a few minutes ago and everything is working fine except for what is listed above.\

*EDIT* I did get it to boot, for some reason when I flashed my BIOS it decided to set my SD card as the primary boot HD  The other problems are still present though.

In order to get your USB back to working:

In Multibeast, click the kext section
Go down to miscellaneous
choose the IOUSBFamily Rollback

In order to get your DVD back to working:

Ask someone else because I haven't had that problem :p
Still, I imagine it's in Kext --> Disk --> 3rdParty Sata. Couldn't hurt to do that and maybe the IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector thing as well.

Hi the reason i am asking for older versions of multibeast is that for some reason i had to reinstall the gah55n-usb hackintosh with batmobile video card and now i can install 10.6.3 but as soon as i upgrade it to any higher version i loose video, i can see the system running with hdd light blinking but no video. i had read that initially i need to use chameleon 2.0 rc5 ati experimental to get it going to 10.6.8 and then lion already has support for my batmobile card. please help.thanks.

I used iBoot + Multibeast 3.9.0 to do the 10.6.8 combo update. The Multibeast install failed with only EasyBeast and System Utilities selected. It succeeded when run a second time without System Utilities, then I ran Kext Utility to fix permissions. Now I see Chimera v1.5.4 r1394, but when it times out I get the white screen with grey Apple logo briefly then immediate reboot. Can't get past this with safemode (-x). I can still boot using the iBoot disc. Suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance.

I'm having issues when updating from 10.6.6>10.6.8. I've used updatehelper (w/ restart)as per the instructions, before the update. Then reboot after update, only to get stuck at "device in slot: slot1" or something similar (in verbose). This problem never happened to me on many previous installs, using MB 3.8.0. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I had trouble getting this to work. On a clean install, after updating from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8, 3.9 wouldnt work for me. I selected UserDSDT, System Utilities and Kext Utility, and it said installation failed. I tried this about 3-4 times, each time resulting in the same error. I ended up using a copy of MultiBeast 3.8 that I had saved from earlier.

@zdestiny: It has been reported that using System Utilities causes MultiBeast 3.9.0 to fail, but that you can just do the install with System Utilities unchecked, then manually repair permissions.

Now I have a different issue:

I make Time Machine backups as I'm going along so I can restore if it gets fubar'd. I've done this several times without any problem. Then I followed this guide:

http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php?topic=649.0

trying to fix my non-booting HDD issue (it didn't). Now when I use iBoot to boot the Retail SL DVD, I get this (see attachment) so I can't restore my backup. I don't understand it, because the iBoot CD and Retail DVD haven't changed and neither has the hardware. I even replaced the HDD with another (working) HDD and still get the same error.

I refuse to believe there's no way back. What have I missed?
