You have an ALC898. 889 will not work as you found out.

Hi Toleda, thanks for showing me what I should have seen straight away. Works perfectly again now. I knew it had to be something simple, but just couldn't see it. :)

I apologize in advance. I'm most likely way too incompetent to even be owning a hackintosh. However, I cannot get audio to work after 10.8.5 supplemental update 1.0. I have "no audio output devices found" in my system preferences. I do not have certain lines in my ioregistry including "IOHDACodecDevice@1B,0" (although I do have IOHDACodecDevice@1B,2). My HDEF pin configurations are off as well. I'm not sure where to go from here. I cannot do a clean install for at least a week (which I think may be my final solution). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
