Hi all

I am new to this so any help is greatly appreciated

I have just bought i7 2600k, 8GB G Skill Ripjaws 1600, Corsair HX850

I need a motherboard as the Gigabyte P67a-UD7 is now discontinued (wish i new that before i paid for it!!!)

I have been looking all night at what board I should get instead but read conflicting reports as what works and what doesnt.

I will be wanting to overclock the 2600k and also using it to duel boot win7 to play games

what motherboards are the easiest to set up a hackintosh? i thought maybe the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 as it is simular to the one i was going to buy???

p.s i have a 4870 graphics card untill i can get a bit more money saved again!!

again any helpis much appreciated

Thanks for the quick response!!

I have read that guide and he seemed to have a few issues on the way but seems he got there.

Regards to the p8P67 i found many people on google saying that they can only boot with boot disk or in safe mode so that put me off, but I see you have a happy setup did you have any issues or is there a guide you can point me too???

Thanks again

again thanks I did see you link but thought it was a guide to go from SL to Lion and not the whole process.

thanks agin for the feedback its defo food for thought.

I still am yet to find a guide for the GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 apart from that post you linked already

Like many others, also have an i7 2600k.

Am using it with a Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 and it is solid as a rock.

Crazy fast, as well...

Good luck with your build.

thanks mate

I just wondered how was the set up on a UD4? was it an easy install???

also how was the overclock on these boards?
