I've ran over forum threads and articles, but havent found an answer to my specific question (or the answers vary).

Planing to build a hackintosh system, my main requirments are - support 3 monitors at start, with possible for painless upgrade to 4.
note. i'm not a gaming fan, i dont care about super 3d performance in games (i play some games a couple of times a year! :) ), nor my work relates to 3d graphics (i'm a python developer) so, i don't want to overpay for hi end graphic cards.

i'm choosing among this mobos
GA-Z77X-UD5H: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4139#ov
GA-Z77X-UP5 TH: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4279#ov

i know, that ivy bridge gpu's support 3 display output, and GA-Z77X-UP5 TH mobo has averything for that... well, for windows.

So, how painless is it to configure triple head output in hackintosh for this MB?

The second part - future upgrade to 4th display output.

One solution - to buy cheap discrete graphics card for +1 display upgrade. But i've seen complains in threads about compatibility in that case.

Other solution - buy some mid level graphisc now, the main question: ati or nvidia?

Ati has eyefinity feature, that support up to 6 displays, is it supported for hackintosh? How easy it in to configure and maintain?
Latest nvidia chips can support up to 4 displays, the same questions here: support/configure/maintain for hackintosh.

Is a display rotation supported (to portrait mode)?

I tend to buy Nvidia, don't like ati (had a lot of problems on linuxes and windowses).
I'd like to avoid SLI and crossfire (the main reason - is budget: more powerfull PSU, 2 graphic card, the prices for pc hardware in my country are rather high, everage - newegg prices+40%... and last but not least, i dont need high 3d performance).

So, what would you recommend? Please, point me to some links, that i missed, or give me some advise.

Thank you for your time!

Alright here's the skinny on multi-monitor set up:
All supported nVidia cards can support a maximum of 2 monitors per card. SLI is not supported in OSX, however you can have more than 2 cards. Here is a link below for more information:

If you want more monitors than the integrated graphics can handle then you are going to have to go with either the 6850 or 6870 as they support up to at least 6 monitors in OSX. However they require a bit of trickery to get them going. Check it out below:

In Windows they can support 4 monitors, but not in OSX as of right now. That applies for the 400/500/600 series.
